Just a fun day shooting and hanging with Erik Mäki and Anthony Laney. Erik is the creator of Mäki Longboards. He shapes custom wooden skateboards and even Alaia (ancient, finless, wooden) surfboards. The boards he makes are almost too pretty to ride…almost. We took a few pics in his shaping hut and workshop and then went out and took some of his boards for a test run. If you ever get a chance to try an Alaia board take it. It’s freaking hard to get the hang of, but you are sure to be the coolest person in the water.
